Question

2006 Chevrolet Silveraldo Crew Cab 5.3L 4wd Hear and feel a low pitch grindish hum sound in the front end that is consistant with speed but not as fast tire rotation. Sounds like possibly in front left and I am fairly sure it is not tire related. Any ideas?

Welcome. Does the hum change when you turn from side to side? What speeds and seem to make the hum worse?

The hum is evident at all times (turning or straight). This noise seems to be noticable around 15mph and seems to steadily increase in intensity as fast as I can drive. This noise seems to be the worst around 40 to 60 mph.

OK. I suggest you start by lifting the front end, and checking the front wheel bearings for play. With the tire still attached, grab the tire at the top and bottom, and rock the tire to see if there is any play. Often a wheel bearing noise sounds like you're hitting it the rumble strip on a highway.
