Question

We have an '88 Winnebago Chieftain. When we turn the 12 volt water pump on the exterior parking lights also go on & remain on. Also does it when using shore power & houseplease respond to batteries. Help?

turn all switches on & off....pulled fuses.

Hi,
This is going to be a grounding issue.
You need to clean the battery terminals,also check the ground connections on the frame,be sure they are clean and tight.I would also check the ground strap from the 110 volt breaker box to the frame,it will be a solid copper wire from the breaker box and screwed to the chassis frame.
When you turn on the pump,it is searching for a ground and the clearance lights happen to be the path it is taking to get a ground.
