Hello,

How old is this dog?
What kind of dog is it?
Does he shake it up and down like saying yes or back and forth like saying no?
How often does this happen?

Accepted Answer

Ok thanks,

This is most likely due to a condition called Idiopathic Head Tremors. It's common in bulldogs, dobermans and boxers. The underlying cause is unknown (idiopathic) and it does not require any treatment as it does not cause any medical problems. It tends to be more of a problem with owners than it is with the dog.

The only way to make sure there is no brain abnormality is to do an MRI, but usually this is not done as it's a pretty typical look when they have the tremors.

You can google it to see some videos and see if that is what your dog is doing.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
