Question

My mother, I believe set up a trust so that when she dies the farm she owns cannot be sold for twenty years. In order to take care of my sister who has never worked. My sister and her husband have been taking care of my mother for the past eight years. SHe is ninety. Three years ago her husband got my mother to sign papers changing her power of attorney to him. my biggest worry is that he will leave my sister high and dry. Can power of attorney change wills or trusts that were set up?

No a power of attorney can not change a Will or an Irrevocable Trust. However, a power of attorney holder can change a Revocable Trust.
