I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner II model #DU941PWKQ1 purchased 12/2001. Started leaking at the door several months ago. I took the two pieces of metal with insulation attached off from the bottom of the dishwasher when it first started to leak. Leaks in the center of the door and on both sides. Definitely comes from inside the door (I can feel up from the bottom)and not from around the door. At times, the water gushes out in time with the sprayer arm. Other times, it seems to leak very little (I think when the dishwasher is very full).

Answer

Thoroughly inspect the spray arms (lower and middle) for debris in the holes or splits. Water is being sprayed downwards and that is the cause of your leak. Also make sure dishwasher is level and has not been pushed back so front is lower than the rear.

I found two holes clogged and no splits on the spray arms. There are holes in the lower spray arm that are clearly part of the manufacturing process. I am running the dishwasher now to see if that really was enough to cause this leaking. (the dishwasher is level so the front is not lower than the back). the dishwasher is still leaking. Any other ideas?
