Starboard engine will turn no start. Port turns starts in an instant. testing parts from side to side.
I swapped rocker start switch from helm. port to starboard. no engagement or clicks for fuel solenoid. engine does turn.
swapped the relay also from the port engine. No engagement or clicks while turning.
Found push plug connectors for engine, worked them for connection, no luck. The switch(in the box) with the big wires, goes to starter, right?
Not certain about stater(location).
shift nuetral switch would cut power entirely, correct?
No alarm @ start switch in on position. I will check relay(black square box), breakers, soleniod and engine electrical plugs again. Get back to you. Thanks
alarm sounds on port engine, and runs well. Hence the reason for swapping parts from one to another. rocker ignition switch, relay, and being able to compare characteristics from one engine starting and the other not. In reference to clicks buzzes and engagements.
diesel boat doc,
had a mechanic to the boat and once we discovered the true "route" of power from engine upto helm controls then back down through a faulty "Sea fire" module. We were able to ascertain that the "Sea fire" module was bas for that engine. We then jumped the bad circuit and she fired right up. gauges, solenoid and the rest are fine. Now the seach for "Seafire replacement.
