Hi,
Thanks for using JustAnswer!
Life can be so injust at times!
Your upper manager has their reasons for removing you from your dream job and if you have not already I would talk to them about it. I would question why you were removed, what the person who got your job has that you don't, and what you can do to get the job back or a job like it.
Since it seems like you have to stay in the same company since you retire in 5 years, is there another job that would pay as well that you might like as well? If so see if you can get that one.
If all that fails and there is no way out of the job you are in for the next 5 years then find opportunity in what you are doing. Know that there is usually a reason for everything and find that reason. Continue to be the best you can be and be a hard worker. Keep your integrity and hard work and continue to better yourself. If you are not already with a good therapist find one to help you work through this tough transition.
I hope this helps. I am here to provide you with a satisfactory answer. Please let me know if I can assist you anymore.
