Question

Hello, i recently started back on adderall XR 20 mg capsules and i take one per day. Since i have been back on it (about a month) I feel overwhelmed while the adderall is in my system i walk around with a million ideas racing around in my head and i feel like i have a ton of things to do when really i dont! I was curious to know what oculd be wrong? Do i not have adhd anymore, and are there any other drugs that you would suggest

I started taking adderall again because i started back at college to finish my degree. I have all the symptoms of adhd and adderall used to help me do very well in school as far as concentrating and retaining information. so my doctor figured it would help.

no, they both caused me to act very introverted and self consious and if anything they made me day dream and act like i was out of it.

ritalin has the same effect as adderall does on me. I took ritalin for a short period when i was younger and had these same problems. I am irritable all the time and tend to snap at people when i am on adderall. I have heard that vyvanse doesnt have these side effects is this true?

Accepted Answer

It's worth a try. The other possibility is that you were started on too high a dose of the Adderall XR or plain Adderall at a lower doseage would be effective without the side effects. You might suggest either possibility to your doctor.
