Question

I have a neighbor that I feel is neglecting two dogs. I have contacted the humane society as well the police. No one is living at this residence right now and the dogs are chained up in the yard. I feel they are not receiving enough care. What else should I do?

The first call was in approxamtily July, the dogs had now shelter what so ever. The owner, brought in a wooden home made shelter for the Boxer and a pet carrier for the small dog. The second call was a couple of months later because when hadn't seen anyone over there to feed or water the dogs. Currently we can see the boxer ribs and neither shelter has any insulating.

This sounds like animal abuse which is a crime in every state in the US.

 

Go to animal control or the ASPCA and file a written report that the dogs have no food or water, their ribs are showing, and they are in imminent danger.

 

They are duty bound to go over there and check it out IMMEDIATELY! They MUST also remove the animals if they are in danger.

 

Please let me know what happens.
