i have a 306 petrol engined with keypad immobiliser. i have fitted new battery but it refuses to start. it accepts code(light goes green)turns over engine but doesnt fire up.

new battery in car new battery in key disconnecting grey plug under rear seat and reconnecting

Good morning, I hope I can help you.

 

Check for the fuel pump relay reset switch. Sometimes when you disconnect battery the switch activates. Also check fuse 35.

I checked fuse 35 that was ok, but i dont know where the fuel pump reset button is.

Answer

It is normally near the fuel pump relay. Some had a red round rubber top. Look under the bonnet near the battery.

found reset button ,pressed it ,tried starting ,no change. also lights on carflash as if alarm has activated but stop flashing after about 20 secs

Carry out some basic fault finding. Do you have a spark at the plugs. Are you getting fuel.
