Question

Hello. My husband and I have recently discovered we're pregnant and though he is extremely excited I cannot share the same excitement because of my guilt. I found I was pregnant on day 14 after ovulation and we had been on a night out with friends on day 13 and I consumed at least 5 pints (watching some sport). I am feeling so awful and scared that I have damaged the foetus.Also on the Saturday (day 13) I noticed a light pink discharge when wiping and also on day 14 (day after alcohol) I noticed some brown spotting when wiping. I am so dissappointed with myself as this is what we both were hoping for. Can you advise?? Many thanks for your time.

Hello,
Drinking early in pregXXXXX XXke you did will not harm your fetus - but do not drink any more. In addition, you should rule out a miscarriage - and I would recommend seeing your doctor for serial blood HCG levels and also an ultrasound at about week 6 to 7 to ensure all is going wll.
