Greetings.
Are your liver functions normal?
How high is it from the range?
Dr. Arun
Hello,
The high B12 levels are quite unusual and would warrant to look for following disorders;
1) Liver disease
2) Polycythemia vera
Please read this resource;
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003705.htm
Following measures will reduce the elevated blood levels of the Vitamin B12 if above diseases can be ruled out;
1) Stopping any supplements including herbal supplements
2) Alcohol cessation or restriction.
Please feel free for your follow up questions.
Yes, multivitamin supplements and liver clear dietary supplements may also increase the blood levels of B12. Your medicines are not likely to increase blood B12.
It is pleasure and privilege assisting you.
