Dear jshark,
Greetings and welcome to justanswer,
What is the dose you are taking and how long?
are you going to have any drug test?
I had sinus surgery several months ago and have also had a complete knee reconstruction. I do not like taking pain medication if I can avoid it because of it's side effects (makes me feel pretty lousy), however I was just wondering how long it takes to get out of you system after I have been taking it for a couple of weeks for knee pain.
Dear Jshark,
Thank you for the information,
The hydocodone is an opioid and has a half life of about 3.8 hrs.It may take some 1-6 days for it to be completely removed from the body system.
If you stop it now then within a week your body will completely metablise it out of the system but since you are taking it for a long time so the withdrawl symptoms may appear. Its better that you taper it off slowly to minimise the withdrawl side effects.
Let me know if you have any doubt.
Thank you!
