he weighs about 55 pounds

he is english bulldog

he has no medical conditions and takes no meds

I don't know if it a boil

it is under his hair

it is very tender

red and looks like some puss

i will take him to vet in am

wanted him to have a restful night

Thank you for the information. Tylenol is not a great drug for dogs because of the chance for toxicity and it doesn't control pain very well in dogs. One 325mg buffered aspirin would work much better and is much safer. It can be given every 12 hours and should provide some relief until you can have him checked tomorrow.
