The trees that were disposed of when my house was built was buried in the back yard. they have since rotted letting my yary fall away. The expert that i talked to said that if it was a drainage question that all i needed was to get railroad rock and fill in about 6 inches deep and cover it with dirt . I am having trouble finding railroad rock no one seems to know what I am talking about. Is the rock a certain size or color? XXXXXXX

Answer

XXXXXXX;

It was I that helped you. And it was just a little over a month ago. But that doesn't matter.

The term railroad rock refers to the size of rock that they use for todays railroad systems. It is a 1"-2" hard granite. The last time we corresponded I was under the impression that the trees had been removed.

Was I mistaken by chance? If the trees were buried and then rotted underground you will need to dig that up , remove any remaining tree detritus, and then lay the railroad rock and fill it in with dirt.

I apologize for any miscommunication.

Best, THS
