Hi XXXXXXXXX

Your footers are perhaps the most important component of the structure of the house. If the footers don't bear completely on undisturbed or properly compacted soil the house will settle and the foundation will crack. The safest bet is to start over. Tear out the compromised sections and redo.
If you are a gambling man you could try forming up around the errroded footers and make another pour that would replace any erroded soil and reinforce the existing footers.
But more importantly is what will the building inspector say.
