Hello and thank you for using JustAnswer.com

Is this a heated mirror? Towing Mirror?

Let me know, Thanks Jay!

it is heated, has upper mirror and lower mirror, they are both adjustable--I am presuming it would be considered a tow mirror

Answer

Ok, they only show these instructions in the manual. It's easier to install this glass with the mirror assembly removed. See image.

What are the hooks you have to heat? They are not noted on the drawing.

Answer

One you have the glass off, there are to prongs to attach the wires to for the heater on the glass.

Thanks Jay!

Under the install instructions, it says to connect the electrical wire connectors and heat lower hooks to prevent breakage. Still not clear about hooks-are they on the glass or the mirror.

They are on the glass. Did you get the new glass yet?

Problem was the glass we had was wrong for this mirror. Sounds like when we get the correct one the "hook" issue will be self-explanatory. Thanks
