Accepted Answer

Hello; Thank you for responding. Ovarian cysts can be quite painful for some women. Fortunately, cysts tend to resolve with a couple cycles. You could be having some referred pain to other surrounding area. You may respond to an over the counter anti-inflammatory medication, such as Ibuprofen, Motrin, or Naproxyn. In addition, using a heating pad may help. Try not to overexert yourself with activity. Bowel movements can be painful, so you want to increase your fiber and water, so as not to strain. At this point, I would be a bit concerned about possible renal or bladder infection; however, since you were recently checked, I will recommend another visit with your provider if this continues for a few more days without improvement. Finally, if the pain becomes intolerable, you should consider being seen and evaluated. I hope this helps. If you have additional questions or concerns, please let me know. Lisa
