Question

2001 mazda pickup B3000 V6 with about 44,000 miles. Can't get the vehicle out of gear. First occured when the temp dipped into the 30's. Tried again when the temp had warmed to high 50s and was ok. Tried a few days later and same problem. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hello XXXXXX, if you cannot get the shifter to move then chances are that you have a bad brake switch. If this switch is not working then it will not unlock the shifter. Start by checking to see if the brake lights work when this happens. if not then this is definetely the problem.
