Hi my son 4 yrs of age weighing 12kg was bitten by some insects. There were some infections on the leg and blisters. Brought him to a doctor and he was prescribe the medication of Amoxycillin 125mg/5ml and Mupirocin oinmenmt.

Hello,
Blisters develop due to allergies to insect bites and stings.
as his doctor has prescribed antibiotics so it is advised to give him as per directed.
You can also give your child OTC acetaminophen .
You should
His doctor may prescribe antihistaminic medication as well.
Most insect bite reactions clear up quickly, only lasting for a few hours to 1-2 days.

Hello,
It is advised to avoid breaking his blisters as it can result in secondary infection.
Avoid scratching as well.
