Hello, My name is Mike and I can help you with this problem.
It sounds as if the vehicle is not getting the fuel it needs. You can verify this by sprayinga good dose of carburetor cleaner into the throttle body inlet and then immediately trying to start it. If it starts and stalls, then you are onto something there. Sometimes it is better to have an assistant crank the vehicle while you spray the throttle body. Be careful though, because if the engine is cranking while you spray it can backfire and catch on fire.
If the engine does not respond to additional fuel from the carb spray, then you swill need to verify proper spark and then check compression.
Hope that gets you on track,
Mike
Since this problem is not as simple as a fuel delivery issue, it's going to get more difficult to diagnose. You are going to need to check for spark at all 6 cylinders, and then check compression if you have proper spark. You may want to look at the front 3 plugs to see if they are wet..
Hope this helps.
If it has been driven like that enough to foul the plugs, it might not run. YOu need to look at the 3 front plugs at least..
ok bro
Another thing that you may want to do is verify your plug wire routing.
I understand your situation. Thanks for the additional information.
At this point, you have verified fuel, and you have made sure you have good plugs and wires. If you have good compression on all cylinders, it can't be a timing chain issue.
I'm going to recommend at this point that you replace the coil that is giving you a weak spark. If it is weaker than the others, then you definately would not be wasting money by replacing it. A weak coil can cause a miss on 2 cylinders which in turn can foul out all 6 plugs due to the addition of extra fuel when the O2 sensor sees more oxygen due to incomplete combustion.
You also may need to remove the plugs and dry them all off again. Crank the engine over several revolutions without the plugs installed to clean out the combustion chambers. It only takes a few revolutions to fuel foul even new plugs. So since it has been wanting to start, this may be part of your issue.
If you get all of this done, and it still wont run, replace the module. I generally don't recommend replacing a part that hasn't been confirmed bad, but these are sometimes difficult to test and are often replaced after everything else has been ruled out.
