Hi,

Thanks for using JustAnswer!

The first thing you need to do if you are thinking of suicide is keep yourself safe. Please if you have a doctor or psychiatrist call them to see if they want you admitted to the hospital so they can keep you safe while you have these thoughts and help you deal with the trauma you experienced and start you on some medications if needed. You can also go to the hospital yourself, call 911, or your local community mental health clinic should have crisis line and a mobile crisis team who can come out to your hosue and talk to you. Or you can use the following resources.

Suicide Awareness Websites:
www.hopeline.com
www.save.org

Suicide Prevention Hot Lines:
1-800-suicide
1-800-273-TALK / 1-800-273-8255
TTY: 1-800-799-4TTY (4889)

After you deal with your immediate safety you will need to get set up with a therapist and a psychiatrist to help you through this. You may be experiencing some PTSD and/or depression.

I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist anymore! I am here to help.

I doubt very much that I would ever go through with that, but I just want to forget or at least put it in the back of my mind so I don't have to think about it, could hypno thearopy help me?

If you feel that you are not an immediat threat to yourself then yes I would try hypno therapy or psychoanalitical therapy where they help you deal with the trauma. Since it is so traumatic for you right now I would suggest getting in to see someone as soon as you can.

Do you think self hypnosis could work for me?

No. I think at this time with the memories resurfacing and that thoughts of self harm you need professional to help you at least for a time.
