Answer

Hi, most BMW wheels other than early model 4 lug ones, are all the same bolt pattern.
A simple swap from 15 to 16" inch wheels from later model 3 series will fit and work just fine. Just keep the same 205/55/16 tires on there, and you will be looking good.

I found some wheels for sale that have 225/50/16 tires on them. I'm not sure what the rim width is though. Is there an interference problem with 225/50 tires?

Thanks

Accepted Answer

That is a z3 tire size. It will still fit, but might not look right compared to a next generation 3 series 16" wheel. The width and offset are different for the z3.
