I tore the miniscus under my left knee about 15 years ago and about 25% of it was removed. I have no pain while walking but am experiencing aching knees the in the early morning hours and have to get up walk around and then go back to bed. Knee injections no longer work and is there anyway to replace the cartledge without having to do a full knee replacement. I am almost 75 and have controlled diabetes. My biggest fear is infections.
Gender: FemaleAge: almost 75 Already Tried: I have the had the (rooster cones #3) and several steroid injections which are no longer working. i hear the grinding when bending the knee and the joint is slightly loose.
There is no alternate to complete replacement. synvisc injections are used to replace the jelly of the joint if you have not done already. these things just delay operation but final treatment is replacement.
