Dear XXXXXXXXXXX; I am sure your partner means well with only the best intentions and your best interests at heart, but he is wrong. Miscarriage is a very normal and integral part of the human experience. One in every 6 or 7 pregnancies is lost and nearly always for the best. Many women know something is not "right" even before they abort because of body changes, so when it does occur, they are at peace with it. Since spontaneous abortions are nearly always due to serious genetic defects,it is for the best. My statement to my patients was; "not every disappointment is a misfortune". Just let yourself be true and don`t analyse your reaction. Good luck
