HP Pavilliondv 9830us Notebook PC I had asked HP for help with another problem and was working on the phone with the Tech he deleted several tyhings. as a result I cannot get access to the internet and there are other problems as well. this was a month or so ago and I had to leave town on business. since the laptop is not my main computer I left town and then forgot to get to you until now when I need to use the laptop.
TYhe compuer showed that the material was already disabled so I clicked on apply and then OK
On the screen now is a note saying you may need to restart the computer to apply changes Before restatring save any open files and colse programs. what do I do now??
Says you cannot connect to the internet I clicked on Diagnose Connection Problems and all most of the things that came up were disabled at startup if that means anything
I still cannot get into the internet
still not internet. As I said at the beginning I believe they have deleted some of the things that are needed to get to the network on this conputer as it is a wireless connection

I wonder if this is going to work.we have spent a great deal of time and so far not been able to acomplish our goals. I appreciate what you are attempting to do but as I have said some of the software that was deleted I believe is the problem. Can we find out waht has been deleted and get it back into the compiuter For example I use Trend Micro to protect this and the other computers it is still on the desktop but when I click on it it does not come up. Sewveral other programs also do not come up as they did before this became a problem when things were deleted
I have clicked on system restore. They suggest that I close all programs. If I do that I will loose the connection with you / What should I do???
I'm not sure what you mean I am on the desk top computer the laptop is the one with the problem. before your last reply I went to System Information on the laptop and saw the following note ( Cannot access Windows Management Instrumentation software. Windosw Management files may have been moved or missing.
This is what I have been saying some info has been deleted. I look to you for some suggestions.

Santonu;
I have just found 3 Vist recovery disks. Which I had downloaded at one time or another. Should I use them and can they recover the missing files??
Santonu. You have been great I hope this will work.
If I insert the windows disk will the computer then tell me the proceedures from that point on. If I need to reach you again can I do that or is there a Code number to reach someone else if I have further problems.
