Ok, I have a mom that has lost her mind on me. Her daughter is 16 she turns 17 on Nov 24th. Which is roughly a little over a month away now. Now her mom thinks we've had sexual connections which hasn't occured. Although she merely is assuming so, due to a text message from me to an ex boyfriend of her's about doing things with her. Which was merely "talk." Nothing has occured. So, my question is, now she is atempting to obtain a PPO against me in the state of michigan. Can she do this? I did stop into the family pizzaria in which i had not been banned from, to order some food. As i've ordered food from their business for years now. Hence how i met their daughter and i met her at church. Now her ma has banned me from her home which i have respected completely and entirely, she is trying to keep us from talking. Taken her cell. Lastly, had workers make fake afidavidts in writting that i've threatened her person while in the store that day which i never did.

Staying away. Breaking of physical contact with her mother, and the pizzaria. Also, breaking of physically talking to her in person untill she's 18. I've tried to contact a retired judge for legal advice to no avail, and im broke and unemployed. No PPO has been served as of yet, although she's pushing for it more and more according to inside information. Even though her daughter doesn't want this. She's forced her daughter into this decision, and signed her name as she claim's she is still her legal guardian, and she can do whatever she need's to. I am 25yrs of age. And am desperatley in need of help as i have a CPL and an FCC license that she is attempting to make me loose, she is claiming i slandered her over my ham radio, which i haven't used in months, she is claiming i broke into their resturant, when there is no cause for me to do so. There is no money in the store at night and i know this besides im not the type to steal, im a giver not a taker. She's been slandering me all over town, although proving it is a difficult task. She is attempting to get me banned from my church that i went to before i even knew this girl, and i went there for help from god, because people like this just keep being mean to me, and i hoped god would bring good into my life, and he did he really did, but now i'm lost, im confused, im hurt, and im scared. She threatens her daughter constantly that she's going to bring legal action on me, she's hit her daughter for trying to defend herself to me, but she doesn't wana be put in foster care, and be placed millions or even hudreds or thousands of miles away from me. PLEASE HELP! OH And she also intercepted some text's from me to the girl in question, of my allegedly trying to cover my butt and lie my way out of trying to get this girl with a guy an ex of hers in a sexual way. Which she also has texts about. Although that was a conversation between me and her ex. Nothing was said to her. He forwarded the txts emblishd.

Okay. Well, if you get served with the petition, contest it and go to the hearing. As a general matter, a person (mom) cannot go to court to seek a PPO for the protection of someone else (daughter). Also, PPOs are only supposed to be issued when there has been an actual threat of harm to the protected person. You have to prove it....you just can't speculate possible fear. Just chill and lay low. There's a fair chance that the judge will deny any petition she files right out of the gate. If the judge does sign the temporary petition, fear not. You're still entitled to a hearing. Go to court and calmly explain the situation to the judge and ask that the PPO be rescinded. Judges are pretty good at smelling out PPO abuse. Good luck and best wishes! What about the threat of her coming after me for slander and her having others get in on her stories about me. Aka her making up stories about me breaking and entering her store? So can I talk to the girl in question say i bought her a cell phone? Is that wrong? She wants to talk to me too, and has made contact in that manner. Her mom is attempting to sign her daughters name against me on the PPO. Can she really do this? Can her daughter do anything to stop her at 16? Can her mom, really tell her she's not allowed to speak to me? Does she have any right's or freedoms whatsoever?

Your friend has to live by mom's rules and you have to respect that. No, the daughter can't stop the mom. Yes, the mom can tell her that she can't speak to you. She's the mom.....of course she can demand that. No, the mom can't forge the daughter's name on the PPO.

So if i gave her a cell so she could text me and she found out could there be conceqences for me? Also, how can i notify her that she doesn't have to sign that document cause right now she beleives that her mom can forge her signature.? I guess i could write a letter to her daughter. It would get there in two days or less. That could cover our bacon some right? Just I wouldn't put my name on the reutrn address.

What about the stalking claims that are totally bogus, and the stories shes making about me around town, about breaking into their pizzaria? When i did nothing of the sort.

If this is granted can i loose my concealed weapons permit?

What is the legal age of Concent in Michigan?

At 17 can and is it true what i was told from a police officer that she has more say in this situation about being able to hangout with me, and talk to me.???

It's important to remember that police officers are just that: they are police officers. They are not attorneys and they cannot give legal advice. A PPO can affect your CCW. Under Michigan law, the age of consent for sex is 16. The bottom line is, she still had to abide by mom's house rules.
