Hello, I hope that I can help you with this issue.
It sounds like you have a front wheel bearing going bad. Often times you can get the noise to change pitch when you turn back and forth while driving.
I can assist you in determining which bearing is failing if you need. You will need to have a safe way to raise and support the front of the vehicle so that it can be run while in the air.

I can give you some basic figures, it is hard to be exact though.
You'll be looking at a half hour or an hour labor (depending on where you go) to diagnose which bearing is bad.
Labor to replace the bearing will be 1 to 1.5 hours, and the part will likely cost between $250 and $400.
So a price of around $550 would be fair to assume depending on where you go and what parts are used..
There is nothing you can do to repair this other than to replace the bearing, unfortunately.
If the noise has only started recently occuring, and the wheel is not loose, you should have no issues on your trip. If this has been going on for a while, you may want to get a better look at it. Maybe jack it up and check the play in the wheels to make sure.
Wheel bearings will typically make noise for a long time before they start to get loose.
