Info Request

Hiya,

When the machine trips does it trip the RCD (all the power in the house off) or does it trip the MCB (only the circuit goes off).?

How far into the programme does the appliance get before the power trips?

Can you post the model number of the appliance please?

The full E-Nr would be best.

Thanks

Hello there,

When the machine trips, all the power in the house goes off. This happens about 5 minutes or less into the programme i.e. almost immediately.

The model no found inside the door is : E-NR-WF02867GB/16FD8512 600195

Thanks Debbie.

Answer

Hiya,

OK, the most likely cause of this is a failure of the heating element.

To check, disconnect the heating element, insulate the wiring taken off and run the appliance.

It should work but take a long time to do the wash. It may also give an error code.

The heater is at the front of the tub so try tipping the machine rearward (you'll need someone to hold it for you to prevent it falling over) and see if you can do it from underneath.

If not, you'll need to take the front of the appliance off.

Take off the plastic panel below the front panel, remove the screws.

Take off the door seal.

Take out the dispenser and remove the screws.

You should be able to lift the front off, it will still be attached by wiring to the door lock.

Check it out, see what you find. If it goes through the wash and doesn't trip, you need to fit a new heater

Hope this helps

Let me know how it goes or if you need more help.

Thanks
