I am informed that the Garmin 540 series marine plotters are very user unfriendly. Is Garmin going to replace them in the near future with a more user oriented product?

Hello. I'm not sure that unit would be considered "user unfriendly" - all such units have features and issues that some people like and some don't. However, that unit has already been discontinued and replaced with the Garmin 541, so obviouly they found that some changes were necessary.
