Question
I have a yamaha 200. I am not getting pressure on the fuel rail. I drained all the old gas and put in new. I pumped it up to the bottom of the fuel pump. At the schrader valve there is no fuel coming out when pressed even during cranking. Could it be the old fuel varnished up the pump?

Reply
no but when I manually pressurize the fuel rail the motor will run. Also I am mixing a small amount of fuel injector cleaner with the mix.
Answer
If the fuel pump is not running this is why you have no fuel pressure at the rail. Check the fuses at the electrical box on the starboard side if the engine.
