My Ferret looks sick. Has started sneezing alot, and looks like she is gagging. When out of the cage is hiding behind the sofa and not coming out

Hi Mike,

I'm sorry to hear your ferret is acting/looking ill. If she is sneezing, hiding and gagging, she might have developed an upper respiratory infection, or even the flu. This can be transmissible to humans, so make sure to wash your hands after being in contact with your ferret. It's also possible that she has ingested a toxic or other non-food item, and this is causing her symptoms.

Ferrets who are ill can go downhill very quickly, so it's important to have her seen by a vet who is experienced in treating ferrets, as soon as possible.
