I have just bought sailboat with a 1999 Yamaha 2 HP outboard motor. All information I have on the motor is the numbers on the motor. It is a 2MSHY 6A1 S 190402 09/99. I would like to know where I can get an operators manual & what is the oil to gas mixing ratio, 30:1, 40:1, 50:1? Tom Jolly Lafayette,Louisiana E-Mail = XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX

Hello. You should be able to order the operator's manual directly from Yamaha by contacting a local dealer. The gas/oil ratio should be 50:1 - that is, 16 ounces of 2-cycle oil (e.g., Yamalube or other good quality marine 2-cycle oil) to 6 gallons of gas.
