I have a Kenmore classic washing machine purchased in 2004. How do I remove the panel to acces the motor and the pump

What is wrong with the washer that you have to get to the motor and the pump. I can show you how to take the cabinet off to get to the motor.

The washer leaks. I do not know from where as I cannot access the gearbox or the pump. The back panel wont come off. I have removed the two screws at the bottom but I can see no other screws.

You can take the cabinet off .Just follow the directions in here it will show you how to get to the problem..

The directions shown on youtube is for a whirlpool not a Kenmore. The Kenmore has no screws on the top

Answer

The screws are in the front corners if not in the front look at the back of the end cap.
if not in the back the end caps snaps off and the screws are behind the end caps.
Its the same washer.
