Question

When I screw in by MSWF water filter in my fridge, water starts to leak from the connection point, then hen I unscrew it, water shoots out under pressure. It's a new filter, and began leaking before replacing the filter. Is there a O ring or something that needs to be replaced?

Putting in a new filter

Answer

the new filter should have a rubber O ring on the neck of it so when you twist it in it will seal ,, check the filter and make sure there are one and if there is then check in the hole the filter fits and make sure the old one isnt still stuck inside holding the new one from sealing off / thanks
