Question

I have a Carrier 58PAV070 furnace that was recently flooded but is dried out now. When I turn on the thermostat and press the door switch, the blower comes on for a minute and the LED flashes fast the entire time (there is no other self test activity other than the fan). The manual says the line voltage is reversed but there has been no wiring change since last season so I doubt that is the case. Could it be a bad board? The cooling cycle works ok.

Reading the LED shows a fast flash but the line voltage can not be reversed because there has been no wiring change since last season.

No the code is NOT 24. The LED flashes fast the entire time, the blower comes on goes off about a minute later. There is no other self test operation except for the fan. The LED continues flashing fast after the fan shuts off.

Ok, you are correct the board the board has been compromised. It is not a terrible thing though because that HK42FZ circuit board has been reworked 6-7 times in the last 10 years. The new board will be a bit heartier and has more reliable blower relays. But , yes your thought s are true, this is not reversed polarity.
