Question

Hi, This is the message I get, when trying to open a doc: c:`windows`systems32`spool`DRIVERS`w32x86`3`CNMCP90.DLL is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette. wkswp. exe - Bad Image I have MS windoes XP, which was already installed into my Emachine. I have no diskette. When I restored my system to an earlier date, I lost important info. Now it won't let me undo restore. A box comes up "rstru". Also, it looks like one of the MS updates failed: Ms.net Framework 2.0 Serv. Pack1 (KB110806). Please HELP. I need the lost info desperately!!! Thanks! Annette

Hi,

This indicates that Microsoft Works is missing a required file. If you do not have the Works disc, then install OpenOffice and you can open your documents with that:

Download it here:

Hi Rob, I'm writing per Email, because the place on your site charges for each question. I don't have a new question. I still have to get rid of those same pop-up boxes with the same messages as before. I did go buy a new Ms Works CD and installed it, but after that, when ever I open a document or try to print, the box pops up again, and it also does not print. I also downloaded Open Office, copied and pasted my info to their blank document and tried to print. It gave me an error message, as though it's not seeing the printer. I chose Cannon300x FAX, which is my printer. I'm getting pretty desperate. My docs have to be in the mail by tomorrow! I'm into this thing spending $60.00 and have no resolution. Please help! Annette

PS: I still get the pop up boxes, which I originally described. And I cannot print my work from Open Office. The above printer is the only one I was able to choose, even though my default is Cannon300x. (without the word fax, but I can fax with it)

Hi,

My 24 hours are up. Please see previous messages to Rob. I need to get 6 pages printed and to either make my new WORKS9 or the downloaded OpenOffice print. I have trouble doing this.

Thanks!

Hi,

It sounds like your problem is with corrupted system files if you still are having the problem. Do you have your Windows operating system disc?
