I have an RX8 2005. This morning it wouldnt crank. Lights,radio and dash board all light up. Its making a clicking noise.First time this has ever happened. What could it be and can I trust a dealership not to rip me off as they usually do women? Thanks kindly

That is probably the bettery, (low voltage) but you would want to try charging it, or a jump start to see what it does, as there is a possibility that it is the starter.

I was told with the rotary enjine I cant get a jump from another car. Is this un-true? (manual RX8 2005)

We do jump start them at the shop when the batteries die. I always keep both vehicles off and hook the cables up and then start the other car. Let it sit for a few minutes, (10) and start the dead one. A charging system on any other 12 volt vehicle will do the same thing as the one in the rotary engine.

So your saying I can jump start my car with another car (regular engine) and it will work? do you recommend that Id buy a new battery first before taking my car to a dealership for repairs.

What you can do is take it to a parts store, such as Autozone, (if there is one by you) and they will test the battery for free, and if it's bad, they also install them for free. Whenever the stealership gets involved it is always more $$$

Yes,but the week goes till Saturday or Sunday.. so there are a few days left. 30-years ASE Master would make you at least 50...and you dont look that in your pic.

Well, thanks, God has been good to me so far. Plus the pic is about 2 years old...getting a little gray these days, (lol) and about to be 52. Oldest son (out of 4) just about looks like my brother..hehehehe
