Question

I have suffered three bacterial prostatitis (escherichia coli, morganella morganii, enterococcus faecalii) in the last seven years, all of them properly treated with antibiotics and with no infection after the treatments. Since day one, I have suffered pain in the pelvic region, specially in the anus and surrounding areas. It worsens with being seated, after defecating and after having sex. I have recently done a complete urologic check (complete ecography, fluxometry, urine analysis, semen analysis, prostate cancer antigen analysis) and all are OK. A proctologist have also checked me finding nothing. All treatments for the pain (many kind of general and prostate specific anti-inflammatory medicines) have proved unsuccesful. My urologist has now suggested a medicine which is used for the benign prostate hyperplasia, but I have discarded it by now due to its side effects and uncertainty of results. As I know prostatitis is difficult to cure, I only want some symptomatic relief.
