Question

While getting back together with my ex-girlfriend, I had a traumatic event happen to me.I accidentally cut a vein in my penis while trimming my pubic hair. I did not tell my ex-girlfriend and that night, she masturbated me,I felt a very bad pain ,lost my erection.This never happened to me before. During the course of the next three weeks, my ex and I got back together but we did not have any foreplay. Ironically, three weeks later, she was ready to have intercourse. I was excited but afraid b/c physically I was not sure how I was going to perform. I am a virgin and so is she. The first time usually doesn't go right so I figured that it was the anxiety of the first time than of the condition of my penis. Six months have passed, I have seen two urologists and the last one said I have Peyronies. I tried with my girl to have sex but my penis is not the same as before. my girl, I are frustated. I am afraid to lose her, my self esteem is low. if she dumps me, i feel can't find someone else.

It's been emotional draining. I know it's not life-threating, but it has affected my self esteem, my job, my relationships. Being a virgin at 34 and now that I was ready to have sex and not being able to because of what happened, it had been devastating for me.

Greetings.

Does your penis bends or kinks when you have erection?

Is there a small lump or swelling felt on penis?

Are you able to masturbate?

When you try to initiate sex, are you able to achieve erection?

Do you loose the erection anytime in between?

Yes my penis does bend to the left when I have an erection. The second urologist saw pictures of my erect penis and he noticed it to. When I try to initiate sex, I achieve erection but can't sustain it long enough to penetrate or it's not hard enough. As it the left chamber of my penis does not fill out as much as the right chamber. Before my penis was hard and a condom fit snuggly. Now erection is not as hard. While foreplay I have to constantly masturbate to achieve a hard erection, but before I was able to sustain a hard erection longer with less physical stimulus, no need to keep touch in it. Now I don't wake up with erection as before. I feel as my desire for sex had decreased. Before, thinking about sex, I would get a hard on. not anymore. This in a matter of 9 months , before and after this incident.

Hello,

I can understand all this and this is quite draining, especially with your young age. Since there is absence of morning erections, a testosterone hormone is essential for the work up, a low level of which can be responsible for the problem. If that is the problem, just testosterone supplement should be able to revert it easily. Blood tests for diabetes should also be done as an undiagnosed diabetes may be partially responsible for the problem. Since there is a bending / kinking with inadequate filling of one side of penis, Peyronie's disease is quite likely. So treatment for this should be initiated as soon as possible. The treatment entails, either an injection/shot of steroid on penis or a surgical correction. Read the details here;

All of this problems do affect the self esteem and causes low confidence level. But believe me this is a treatable problem and you would be normal. Following also may be helpful;

1) Sex therapy sessions; reduce performance pressure and focus on pleasure. About 20 sessions may be needed for the optimal outcome.

2) Hypnosis

3) Avoidance of the stress, anxiety, and other factors. Enjoying the sex, changing position for best glans stimulation and partner's effort also play an integral component in the positive results.

You should consult the second urologist again for the evaluation.

Please feel free for your follow up questions.
