Question

I have a remote control ceiling fan. Until recently everything worked great. I could do 5 things with the remote. (1) Control the lights (on/off) (2) Turn fan to low (3) Turn fan to medium (4) Turn fan to high (5) Turn fan off. Now, when I turn the fan off, the blades continue to spin on low and after about 2 minutes the lights being to blink on and off, but if I turn the fan to low/medium and/or high the lights work fine. What is wrong?

Info Request

Is the remote in the unit built in, or is it installed in the upperhousing of the fan where the mounting bracket is?

It is installed in the upperhousing of the fan where the mounting bracket is.

Accepted Answer

Ok - it sounds like your remote is going bad. I highly suggest that you purchase a new one and replace it. Your symptoms are very common for a bad receiver.
