I have an 2003 honda pilot 4wd and I cannot get it to go out of park I have to insert a screw driver into the slot in the steering wheel. what is the problem

Ok the problem is the brake light switch located under the brake pedal .It shorted out not allowing the signal to go to the ecm then to the shift interlock.Replace the brake light switch to fix this issue.
