Question

I have an 1998 Honda Accord 2 door coupe. I have an issue with the buttons on the dash that select where the heat and air are distributed from (for instance floor and vent etc..). The fan is working but no air coming from the vents. Inside and outside air buttons dones't work either.

Looked in fuse box under hood and inside did not see anything related to these buttons.

No air is blowing outside the vents inside the car.Does the heater control panel ever go blank?

yes the heater control panel is blank - none of the lights come on

Ok these are known for the heater control panel to short out and to fix this issue you need to replace the heater control panel to fix this issue about 125 from a salvage yard.

Thank you ... we will definatly look for one of these. One additional question... is there a fuse or relay associated with this that I may have messed up or something?

 

Also can I trouble shoot this issue using a voltage meter (don't want to buy one from a salvage yard this is already bad)

There is a heater control fuse under drivers dash but it should be fine the most common is the panel itself but it does not hurt to check the fuses quick.
