Question

I purchased two Norfolk Terrier puppies 6 months ago from a breeder who advertiesed them as KC registered. I travelled over to Wales, paid for the puppies and brought them home with me, The breeder said that she would forward the pedigrees on to me. I have written, e-mailed and called the breeder but to no avail. I would like to breed from the puppies (both bitches) but will not be able to without their pedigrees. I paid £750 each for the puppies which would be worth very little without a pedigree. I look forward to hearing from you. With kind regards, XXXX XXXXXXXX (XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX)

Hi there Jane

Do you have the kennel club registration certificates for these puppies?? Without this you are really cannot do anything- did you see the certificate at the breeders??

Take a look at www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/1251

this tells you what you should expect from the breeder if the pups are KC registered.

If they are KC registered the litter should have been registered by the breeder under the breeders name, so you can also check with the kennel club if they have any record of this.

Other than that, my advise would be to keep badgering the breeder for this information, as you have no other means of getting the KC registration papers for the pups.

Good luck

Andrea
