Hi,

From your description, it sounds like your dog has an ear infection, and this needs to be evaluated in person by the vet as soon as possible, then treated with antibiotics. The yellow discharge, pus and bad odor are indications of infection. She may have scratched herself too hard, bacteria entered, and it became infected, or she has a foreign object in her ear, which has caused the infection.

For the moment, continue to gently clean only the outer part of the affected ear with plain cool water on a cotton ball, and pat dry.

Try to have her seen by a vet today, and if it's after hours for your regular vet, you may consider bringing her to an ER vet center for treatment. If she doesn't seem to be very uncomfortable, you can most likely wait until your regular vet is back in the office, after the weekend, but if she does seem to be in a lot of pain, have her seen as soon as you can.

I hope all will be well with your furry girl.
