I have a 2001 Explorer Sportt'rac that I have owned since new. Since I bought it I have been aware of some stickers in various places on the truck that contain some numbers that appear to have no relation to the VIN. Could these be production numbers? I know this truck was manufactured in Louisville. All of these stickers appear to have the same number. If my guess is in error, is there a way to tell where in the production line my truck was manufactured? Thanks for the help.

There are stickers behind the headlight assemblies, inside the gastank cover, on the lower left-hand corner of the windshield, on the computer behind the rear seat and inside the console between the seats (no longer visible). The stickers are six digets long and begin with "1." Thanks for the help.

Sometimes you get part numbers from differnet plants.Even though your truck was made in louisville the parts came from differnet places.These numbers are parts numbers and production numbers thats all.
