Question

90 geo metro. the car seems to start fine cold, but when it was run for a while it can be hard or imposible to restart. it acts as if it is flooded. with a lot of cranking it might start running with very low RPM until it burns off extra fuel then seems to run ok

REPLACED FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR AND CHECKED FUEL PUMP PRESSURE

first thing i would do is to do a fuel pressure drop test this is put a fuel pressure gauge on and see if the pressure drops after you turn the car off of course make sure it is hot so the problem is present if the pressure drops you probably have leaking fuel injector
