Question

I just bought a 2000 model yr Roadtrek 170. It has a Dodge 2500 chassis. My question is this: The floor between the driver and front passenger seats gets warm. I had a cooler setting on the floor during a XX XXXX XXXXX and noticed the bottom of the cooler was warm when I picked it up. Is this normal for so much heat to get thru the floor or should I have the RV checked out? Thanks, XX XXXXXX

Hi There!!!

Thanks for Choosing Just Answer...

I believe on your unit you have a carpeted engine cover on the forward firewall that is in between the driver's and passenger seat. The engine sits up front under this cover, the engine will produce a large amount of heat and I would say the floor getting warm in this area is normal.
