Hello,
This yellow color change of the nails should not be related to previous diverticulitis. The yellow nails should be looked for the following;
1) Anemia
2) Jaundice
3) Yellow nail syndrome; if you have any respiratory problem associated.
You would need blood work, chest x-ray and an abdominal ultrasound for the evaluation. You should consider consulting your primary care physician as soon as possible.
