Hi and thanks for using JustAnswer.com.

It sounds like you have eliminated access to the hardware which hold the liner by covering it with your deck- without leaving room for maintainance. OOPS---. Can you jack up the deck to swap liners? If not you will have to remove the part of the decking that is in the way. OR perhaps make up a new retention system using the deck as a point of attachment.

I hope that this information was helpful to you. I am not making myself clear, we have already replaced the lining, no problem, I want a different material to hold the water, such as fiberglass or a resin type cavity if it is at all possible.

Let me make sure I understand here. You have a above ground pool, flexible metal frame on dirt. And you want to resin/glass it. There are 2 classes of resins- polyester and epoxy. Polyester is immune from UV attack, brittle, and has a high viscosity. This makes it difficult to apply on vertical surface without running before it kicks off. And any flex in the metal frame when somebody cannonballs the pool will crack the resin.

Epoxy on the otherhand is succeptable to UV attack, flexible, and has a much lower viscosity. It would survive the cannonballs and apply more easily with out the running and sagging, but the sun would destroy it in a few years. Either way the labor is intensive, and the materials are very expensive. The solvents a carcinigous.

You are much better off finding a vinyl liner that is twice as thick as the ones you have been using. Your complaint is a common one and I would expect that some manufacturer has come up with after market liners that hold up.
